I was born and raised in California. I am 18 years old. I am the oldest siblings in my family, which is why it is very hard for me to do my academic successfully when I was little until now. There were always ups and downs in my academic performance and my parents was not very happy about it, but that did not prevent me from trying harder in school. During my high school years, I started to realize that math was not a good subject for me, even though I was so good in math in my elementary and middle school years. It all started when I took pre-calculus in my senior year. I began to notice my learning abilities in math began to decrease a lot, even though I try to get help. I try to ask my teachers for help, but I still don't understand it. That is when I realize math was not my thing in the future. Now, when I start college, I plan to major in something that doesn't require a lot of math, such as nursing. My passion is that I love to help people, which is why I chose nursing as my major because its in the medical field. However, even though I don't like math, I like science because it is interesting and I never have get a very low grade in science. I always get a decent grade, which is another reasons why I chose nursing as a major. There's a lot of science involve in this major. I judge my major based on my academic performance. I am planning to get my associates degree in nursing at a community college if I have to and getting my bachelor degree when I transfer to a university. I plan on transferring to Cal State Fullerton or Cal State Long Beach in the future, after I complete all my major transfer requirements at a community college.
